Minutes of last meeting of 2009

We had the last meeting of this year yesterday (3rd December) and discussed lot of interesting points. For those who missed it, please read through.

Minutes:
1. School Logo: The competition will be on 30th Jan. Letters will be sent to parents when school reopens on Jan 7th to solicit entries by 28th. Action: Olga

2. Enrollment Committee: So far no representation from the parents on to this though the 1st meeting held on 30th November. The meeting time has been moved to 7pm to accommodate working parents. Next meeting would be on 18th Jan.

3. Celebration of Light: As you all know the Lucan Taskforce for an Educate Together Second Level School is organizing this on 21st at 7pm in Griffeen Valley ETNS. There is an opportunity to raise funds by selling food and some other items in a stall. We want to take utilize this opportunity to raise few bucks for PA. A mail will be send with details soon.

4. Track suite from School: Discussed on the idea of providing track suite(s) with school logo and name. It will be in multiple colors. We'll invite a textile vendor to display samples (materials, colors, etc) with an estimate of price so that parents will have a choice to choose. It's voluntary and there is no compulsion on parents to buy or children to wear on any particular day. Also there is no interest of raising funds. We'll flush out more on this once board formally approves it. If anyone wants to involve with this project please let me know.

5. Use of School hall: The school hall is open to parents for running any group activities for children, like music classes, religious meetings, language classes, etc. The available time slots will be posted on the school web site. If interested please talk to Tom.

6. News letter: PA will send news letter along with school communications as a means of improving communications.

7. Meeting schedule: We'll meet once in a month and avoid 2nd Thursday, which will coincide with Board meeting. Next meeting date will be decided after school reopens in the new year.
